Modular Solutions Built With Indigenous Communities

Armelands is ready to collaborate with Indigenous leadership to design and deliver sustainable, turnkey buildings once invited by each community. We approach every conversation with humility, clear listening, and a focus on community-defined outcomes.

Partnership Across Turtle Island

We are actively seeking housing and infrastructure partnerships with Indigenous governments and service organizations across Canada and the United States. Before offering any proposal, we commit to listening sessions that honor governance protocols, cultural knowledge, and community-defined priorities.

The Nations and regions referenced below reflect communities whose publicly shared housing priorities we are studying so we arrive informed. This is not a complete list of the sovereign Nations we hope to serve. If your Nation, Village, or urban Indigenous program is not yet mentioned, we welcome your outreach so we can learn how to support your goals respectfully.

Canada | First Nations, Inuit, and Metis

Preparing to support Cree, Dene, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Mi'kmaq, Wolastoqey, Coast Salish, Nuu-chah-nulth, Metis Nation Regions, Inuit communities across Nunangat, and other Nations that are strengthening homelands from coast to coast to coast.

  • Remote northern logistics: Air and seasonal road access drive up material costs. Our proposed delivery models stage prefabricated components and mobilize rapid-assembly teams to reduce freight and labour burdens for communities such as Cree and Dene First Nations and Inuit hamlets.
  • Climate-resilient shoreline housing: Coastal Nations including Coast Salish and Mi'kmaq communities are prioritizing flood- and storm-ready structures. We propose envelope systems, elevated foundations, and microgrid options to support long-term habitability.
  • Overcrowding and youth retention: Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee territories highlight the need for multi-generational homes, student housing, and cultural programming spaces that keep families together close to home.

United States | Tribal Nations and Alaska Native Villages

Preparing to support Diné (Navajo), Hopi, Pueblo, Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole, Lakota, Dakota, Nakota, Ho-Chunk, Yup'ik, Tlingit, Haida, Yurok, Karuk, and many other Tribal Nations seeking durable, culturally grounded spaces.

  • Water security and healthy interiors: Diné, Hopi, and Pueblo communities continue to address water scarcity and legacy contamination. We plan to integrate Fresh Nibi filtration, water harvesting, and low-VOC materials into forthcoming builds where they align with local guidance.
  • Overcrowding and rapid deployment: Cherokee, Choctaw, and Muscogee (Creek) Nations are expanding elder care, transitional, and family housing. Modular delivery can shorten timelines so citizens move into safe homes sooner.
  • Climate and wildfire resilience: Lakota, Yurok, Karuk, and Alaska Native Villages are designing for wildfire, permafrost shift, and extreme weather. We specify fire-resistant assemblies, ventilated rainscreens, and renewable microgrids tailored to each territory when invited to do so.
